Hey. I'm moving to Oxford in the New Year and was hoping to get some insider advice.

What are the best areas to live in ?

it depends what you're looking for - Headington is Ok has good pubs etc. or for maximum oxford atmosphere any where near Cowley road but NOT Blackbird/Greater Leys or Rose Hill, unless you've got an ASBO!

OI! Blackbird leys is not that bad alot better than it used to be!

Jericho,summertown or the city center can be great to live but that's the most expensive places... of courses!

hey!!I lived in rosehill for 10 years and i didn't turn out bad.....granted it went worse when i left!! lol! if you dont mind living outside of oxford witney and ducklington are lovely places to live!!

Cowley road is the place to be.
I think i need to be back there Headington is too dull

I visited oxford about 4 yrs ago and left 3 yrs ago
and I've no chance to meet any korean resident there
i mean south koreans, not north
what is the reputation of south korean in this area??
am plaanning to go back to uk next year
and I dunno....
am actually worrying about the racial discrimination...
actually i'm not "totally asian" i mean quarter blood
but still i look a lot like asian
moreover don't speak british english.....

am trying to correct and improve it....but not so easy.....D:

in my country, american culture is dominant
and actually have almost no chance to know anything about UK
and i had no chance to meet any biritish ppl in this country although I know tones of foreign ppl living in korea...

I wanna know more about UK
and I'm wondering wheter it would be harsh for me to living in oxford at least for 4 yrs...

West Oxfordshire is the nicest, lovely countryside, less crime too!

Yeah, west oxfordshire, particularly witney and other surrounding areas. Much cheaper to live in, and a good bus service, if you feel like you need the night life, which aint bad in witney, but it can get a bit claustrophobic on a ssaturday or friday night, although there are plenty of pubs if that sort of thing is your bag!
