About:

As Oxfordshire is such a small place, Facebook do not deem it big or popular enough to have its own network. However we know different so this group has been created for all people from Oxford. Please feel free to add photos, flyers, adverts etc of things happening in and around Oxford that may be of interest to others. All photo's of nights out, random Oxford stuff, gig reviews etc are welcome as well. Oxford United supporters plus all other local football teams can use this group to discuss things going on. Any debates on local issues welcome. It is frustrating not having our own network so thought id set up a group. I sent an e-mail to facebook a couple of weeks ago asking to have our own Oxford network, and the response i got was interesting. I was told there is already a couple of Oxford networks, which have been made student only. And they dont believe there is any demand for another Oxford network which is why we are not getting one. The e-mail did say that if a group like this got over 100,000 members they would consider it. Thats a hard target to reach, and we might never get there but lets see how close we can get. So invite as many friends as you can, and who knows what might happen.
